How to enter?



Are you part of the OIE network OR a student above 18 years of age studying in a faculty of veterinary medicine? If so, you can enter – just follow these steps:

STEP 1

Select between one and five photos on the theme specified in the annoucement.

STEP 2

Download the rules on the dedicated photo competition website www.oiephotocompetition.com

STEP 3

Fill in the entry form online, ensuring to complete all the fields and accept the conditions contained in the rules of the photo competition.

STEP 4

Upload and submit your photos (no more than five), on the photo competition website, noting the caption for each photo, by 1 May 2017 by noon (Paris time).

STEP 5

Make sure that you receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application.

Complimentary cheques will be awarded during the Opening Ceremony of the 85th OIE General Session on Sunday, 21 May 2017.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 1 May 2017

The results will be announced on the photo competition website www.oiephotocompetition.com on 19 May 2017. Winners will be notified in advance by email.

Which OIE Network Members are eligible to enter?

The following are considered to be members of the OIE network and eligible to enter the 2017 OIE Photo Competition

  • National delegates of an OIE member country

  • National focal points of an OIE member country

  • Employees of, or veterinarians accredited by, the veterinary services of an OIE member country

  • OIE experts

  • Employees of an OIE reference laboratory or collaborating centre

  • Employees of a partner organisation for the OIE

Which are the requirements for students’ entries?

The following are the requirements for students to be eligible to enter the 2017 OIE photo competition:

  • over 18 years

  • Full-time veterinary students who are enrolled in any of the faculties of veterinary medicine of an OIE Member Country during the 2016-2017 academic year


The photos entered by participants must have the following technical characteristics:

  • Colour or black & white

  • Format: JPEG or TIFF

  • Minimum size of 2480 by 3508 pixels (21 x 29.7 cm), preferably the maximum size and resolution available

  • Maximum file size of 10MB per photo. If the photo exceeds this amount, the upload will not be successful
